And so it begins...

Hello! My name is Krystle Willmore and I love to read, but I never feel like I have the time. Being a SAHM, a wife, a board/committee member (for 3 of them!), and an online student makes for a very busy life. So a few days before 2016 I decided to schedule time to read! I mean I schedule everything else, so why not? I decided to read one book a month, that should be easy right? I thought choosing my books would be a quick task, but after about 6 of them I really struggled to find the rest. After consulting with my husband, my brother, and my grandma I made the rest of my list and I was set to go. For years I didn't read a book that wasn't written by my two favorite authors, Agatha Christie & Orson Scott Card, so I have tried to pick books from different genres to really broaden my horizon.

Here I am ready to share with you the books I have decided to read and maybe they'll be interesting enough for you to join me! I love being able to talk to others about the same books, so please tell me what you thought! I'll have a list of each book, the synopsis, and my reason for choosing them listed for the whole year. I will probably also have an in-between list of about 4-6 books as well just in case I finish a book early. If you don't particularly like a book I am reading, just substitute it for one you want and if it was good, tell me about it! After I have read each book I will give my *modest* review about it. I say modest because I'm not an eloquent writer.

I also want to suggest to everyone, that when possible, try to buy your books from your local bookstore. Don't get me wrong, I love amazon, but there is nothing like walking into a bookstore and smelling that book smell or feeling the peace and quiet. (The book store is my place to run to when I need a break form the kids, yay Powell's!) You can also check out second hand stores for any of the books or even rent them from the library. Of course if you're like my husband, Kevin, you might want to listen to audiobooks and thats great too!

Okay everyone,

  1. Nice job. I bought the The Big Picture book and look forward to reading it. I think the books you picked out to read look interesting. I'm looking forward to reading your reviews on them.
